I liked you presentation a lot Josh. I thought that it was great that your father was able to build a business from what he knew how to do, with just the right amount of advice. It seems as though that it is a common theme that many businesses get started just from what people know or love to do. I also found it amazing that your father was able to be a great enough businessman, to keep up such a hard business such ass masonry. I work in the trades, and I see many people that always talk about how hard it is to keep a masonry business afloat. One thing that I learned is that many businesses seem to have at least one advisor or someone to help them on the actual business side of their businesses. The connection I see here from class is the same as I saw in another slide show, and that was the unethical behavior of other companies that one might say cant hurt anyone, truly di hurt other businesses. As you mentioned “being replaced with cheaper products and cheaper illegal labor” shows how unethical decisions effect more than just the one making the decisions.
