Super Bowl XLVII was just like another
super bowl in the past, there were many loud cheering fans either in the stand
on at home watching the game on a big screen television, other football fans tuning
in to watch the game and gather with friends for a good time. There were about ninety Super Bowl commercials
made for this year’s Super Bowl, each commercial cost all over three million
dollars to make and produce each commercial. Not every Super Bowl Commercial is
the same. The change every year and every decade. There are so many commercial every year it is
hard to pick one out. There are many Super Bowl commercial’s that stick out in
my mind but if I had to pick one that I did like and one that I did not like
would be easy to do.
The one commercial
that stuck out to me that I did not like was the Wonderful Pistachio with PSY the singer of
the song “Gangnam Style” I really did not like this commercial
because I think that the song “Gangnam Style” is extremely over played and I also personally do not like this song at
all mainly because it is sung in a different language and I do not understand
what the lyrics’ are saying. Also I have seen many advertisements for the
Wonderful Pistachio. I have not liked any of them commercial’s for the pistachios’
that I have seen. They are all way to glamourized and over exaggerated just for
a bag of pistachios.
The one Super Bowl commercial that I really did like and
that stuck out a lot out me was the Budweiser commercial The
Clydesdales named "Brotherhood" I really liked this commercial not
because it was and advertisement for alcohol or beer, I liked it because it was
different from all the other Budweiser commercials I’ve seen before. The main purpose
of this advertisement wasn’t just to promote Budweiser it was also based on a
bond between a man and his horse. The commercial began when the horse was new
born and their bond soon began. Soon he had to give the horse away and it was to
the Budweiser Clydesdales. Three years later he saw and add in the newspaper
for the Budweiser Clydesdales, he went to the parade and at the end of it his
horse saw him walking away and ran to him and they were reconnected. I really
like this commercial because every time I go home for a weekend from school my
cat gets every excited to see me again. This commercial show a true bond
between a man and his horse, while also adverting for a large beer company.

Colleen,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about both of your points. I don’t think there is really anything special about the bag of Wonderful Pistachio’s. I don't think pistachios are very exciting and I don’t think any commercial would make me want to buy them. Also, I was contemplating whether or not I was going to write about the Budweiser commercial. That was definitely one of my favorites. The commercial wasn’t a long and dragged out story, it was straight to the point. I felt interested in this commercial the whole time while I watched it. I love Clydesdales and this commercial was a very heartwarming commercial. The ending when the horse remembered the guy who raised him was adorable. I also liked that fact that it was different. The vibe was different; one that you wouldn’t picture being a beer commercial. I liked the fact that they utilized the mascot of Budweiser as well.
