In my opinion the best TV advertisement that was on the super
bowl was the OREO cookie Ad. The commercial started out with these two men
sitting in a library and whispering whether or not they prefer the milk or
cookie. The action then progresses when
the two men start fighting while still whispering at each other. This mayhem
continues as more people continue with the fight over Cookie vs. Cream, with
the commercial ending with police officers attempting to break up the brawl of
people.
In my opinion The OREO Cookie
Company used humor in their advertisement in order to market their brand. The message
of the Ad was that the OREO cookie is worth fighting over. I believe that humor really worked for The
OREO Cookie Company because it caused people to laugh and remember the brand. The target audience for this commercial would definitely
have to be young and middle aged adults, because those were the people who were
featured in the commercial. I imagine The OREO Cookie Company did this because
those people who are their primary customers who shop for Oreos. Adults are the ones who buy the cookies;
therefor they are the ones that are targeted in the commercials.
The OREO Cookie Company most likely
choose to air this commercial on the Super Bowl because it is the most watched
sports event, and many people watch the commercials. I believe they choose this
commercial because it was funny and caught people’s attention. The Super Bowl
Oreo Cookie commercial was definitely successful because of how funny it was.
During
this specific Super Bowl commercial, The OREO Cookie Company seemed like they
were just trying to market the OREO brand as a whole rather than one specific
product. In my opinion this was a great commercial, it was smart, funny, and
made since. This is definitely a commercial that could be used many times, not
just for the Super Bowl.
The
OREO Cookie Ad was smart marketing. Using humor to inform the consumers about
the cookie (the cookie and the cream filling) was brilliant, and will definitely
create sales in the OREO products. If I made the add I would not have changed
anything
I thought the Oreo commercial was great! I would definitely say it was in my top five! It was a very funny advertisement as well. I really like how it started as two guys just whispering and then everything started to go crazy around them and they just kept on whispering. I know I was distracted because of someone during this commercial but when it came on it grabbed my attention too. In matter of fact it grabbed everyone's attention in the room that I was in. I also feel that the commercial was very relevant because everyone who eats Oreo's likes either the cookie or the cream better. Not many people like the whole cookie. But I am one of those people. It is a constant argument for all Oreo lovers, whether or not the cookie or the cream is better. But all in all, this was one of my favorite commercials of the game, which is why I watched the Super Bowl this year. Go Pats!!
ReplyDeleteHey Siobhan, this commercial was a great choice! Just to throw that out there; I want an Oreo cookie right now. I definitely agree with you that the commercial was very humorous. I wouldn’t change a thing! The commercial keeps your attention there and you just want to keep watching. I am personally the cookie part fan, although I eat the cream first. I thought it was really humorous that they were all in a library and whispering. The actions they were pulling were a billion times louder than their voice. Which that could be a subliminal message as well their actions are louder than words. This attracts all typed if of audience. This commercial can be recycled very easily because; it’s not to glorified for everyday watching. Poor police officer I wonder if he ever stopped the brawl. I cannot wait to see this on the air soon!
