Crystal Caves Family Entertainment Center

  1. Hi Ben. I feel you picked an excellent business for your project. Being from nearby Grafton, I have been to Crystal Caves a numerous amount of times. My little brother even had a birthday party there. Miniature golf is a great way for a family to be together and have a lot of fun. Places like these are absolute gold mines, especially during the summer. When the weather is nice, these places are constantly crowded. What makes Crystal Caves stand out even more is the fact they have an ice cream parlor at the golf place. At the end of your day at crystal caves, you can cool off with a nice ice cream sundae! Places like these are fairly cheap as well. You get to be with your family and have lots of fun at the same time, without putting a hole in your wallet. What else makes Crystal Caves so successful is the fact that there aren't any other mini golf places around. Everyone is at Crystal Caves!

  2. Ben,
I have not been here before but from you presentation and what Zach said sounds like a great place to go to for fun. I have loved to play miniature golf every since I was little. There is a place where I’m from that reminds me of this. All of my friends and I would go during the summer and do everything from miniature golf to the batting cages. We always had a blast. The only bad part about this place was the weather. All places like this are only seasonal and if it rains your most likely not going to have too many people. I like the name of the business “Crystal Caves,” its very catching. The only thing that Crystal Caves doesn’t have that the place I use to go to did is a go-kart track. If Mrs. Hanson was able to make that happen I think she would be very pleased with the outcome.

  3. Hey Ben, Crystal Caves Family Entertainment Center sounds so fun! I can’t believe there are miniature golf, batting cages, ice cream parlor, small rides, soccer cages, and rides! I would most definitely go to this place. I would love to work at the Crystal Caves Family Entertainment Center, was it fun working there? I cant believe this started out as only a miniature golf course. I love to see how small businesses like this one expand. Mrs. Hanson is definitely smart for expanding on the advertising, and expanding aspect on the company, her mother and father definitely taught her well! I like her future plans for the Crystal Caves Family Entertainment Center. A go-cart track is definitely a nice touch to a place like this, especially since I believe there is only one other go-cart place around Nichols College. This is a place im actually curious to go see and I am planning on going to see when the weather is warmer! Thanks for telling me about this place.

  4. Ben, I liked the small business you decided to choose. Crystal Caves Family Entertainment Center would be a place i would have to check out someday. They definitely have came a long way since opening up. The fact they only had a miniature golf course at first and they added many other activities to do is amazing. I see that her most rewarding aspect was working with her family. I agree with her 100% because it is a lot more fun working with people you know so well and can trust with any aspect of a company. I noticed that the fatal flaw was the Winter season. One way they could adjust to this would possibly having indoor activities too, so they could attract people when it is way to cold outside to do anything. I think they took the right approach with the advertisement because in the textbook it specifies that marketing your business is key to being a successful one and it can lead to more customers and making them more loyal after going a few times.

  5. Hello Ben I am glad you picked a small business like crystal caves because i am very familiar with their miniature golf course. I've been there a few times throughout my life and it is always a good time. Over the recent years they have added more attractions that give them a lot of customers. It is a great business that is very popular. The employees their are very respectful and helpful. It is nice having a family owned business like that because everyone knows each other and work well together. I hope this business keeps doing well and stays as a family owned business. I have seen some advertisements involving Crystal Caves as well.

  6. Ben, I'm from Dudley and I've known about Crystal Caves ever since I can remember. This used to be my favorite place to go as a kid. Crystal Caves is such a great business and it’s great to see that Crystal Caves is still up and running strong. Not a lot of businesses are able to continue running after the first few years, but it’s great to see that my childhood place is still running. It would be sweet if the business just kept getting passed down in that family so I could end up bringing my kids to go play there. Crystal Caves is a great business to choose for this. I bet it was a good time working there seeing everyone that is there is looking to have a good time. Everyone you see during your shift is just trying to have fun so that must just make it a lot more fun and easier to work there.
