Hey everyone my name is Michael Miga. But most people call me Mike. A little background on me, I am from Franklin, Massachusetts. Sports are my passion and I love to watch them or play them. I am a freshman here at Nichols College. Right now I am currently my major is Sports Management. I am looking to switch my major from Sports Management to studying Sports Management Coaching as my major. My dream job is to one day either be the head coach for a NFL team or be any type of coach in the NFL. More specifically, the New England Patriots. The main reason I want to work for them is the fact that they are my favorite team. Also they are a winning franchise and a very respectable one and I want to be apart of that, a franchise that knows how to win as well as be complete professionals throughout the league. I guess this type of career; I would be working with other people and for other people. This type of business could also be considered a large, well-established business.
One of the young entrepreneurs that I most admired was the Together We Rise project created by Danny Mendoza from the Forbes: 12 Amazing YoungEntrepreneurs website. I really admired this project because its main goal is to help foster children or children of broken homes. This help teaches children to make there one choices in life. By teaching these children skills such as music, sports, resume building, and other vital lessons, the children will be able to succeed when their foster care stops when they reach the age of 18. To me, I can relate to this because I am an Eagle Scout and in order to gain it I had to do a service project and I did one for a foster house and being able to do something good for others who may not have it as well as we do really does brighten up their day. So I applaud Mendoza for helping foster children everywhere have the same opportunities to be successful in their lives.

  1. Mike, I am also a Sports Management major. Its really great that you have dreams so big, especially head coach of the Patriots. Replacing Bill Belichick would be big shoes to fill! I one day hope to get into the front office of the Bruins or the Red Sox. I didn't even know Nichols College offered a major which was specifically focused on the coaching aspect of sports. Now I might look into that as well! I really like who you chose for your young entrepreneur. It's really great how people like Danny Mendoza are trying to help children who are less fortunate. He can really become a huge role model for children who don't get the attention that they deserve. Also, with Mendoza helping these children music, sports, etc, it shows how he doesn't only care about the education factor with these kids lives. It's good to see people like Mendoza giving back to the community.
