  1. Colleen, I really liked your presentation. i thought it was very well put together. One thing that caught my eye was that it was a hockey store. I love hockey! I see it took them a while to expand into other towns, why do you think they decided to wait so long? The business seems to very successful if they were selling equipment to Jonathan Quick. Another thing that I noticed was that his most rewarding thing was "seeing the joy of young athletes pick out their equipment for the first time..." This is just something else because you do not see business owners like that any more. When reading that, it made me feel that he really does care about his business. When I’m older, that’s how I want to look at my career and not only through the money part of the business. I see that they always look for someone that has experience in the field or know what they are talking about, which I'm pretty sure was in the text about in the book as a key component of hiring employees.

  2. Colleen, your presentation was really informational. I like all the detail that you put into it and how you described the business. I think it’s awesome that they wanted to keep the business family orientated. I think its great what there doing in helping kids out with providing them equipment. Its great to see that it is a family owned business and that each generation helps out. When looking at there advertisement you can tell that a lot of people know about it just from word of mouth because they don’t advertise it as much as other places. I like the fact that the employees that work there are all associated with mostly hockey but other sports as well. I feel that that is always good for a business when selling equipment because they can relate to the customer thus making the customer more comfortable and making them come back thus having more business.
